Reference: Matthew 7:21, II Timothy 2:20-21, and II Timothy 3:16-17
If you were asked the question as towhether or not you believe that the power and Spirit of Almighty God was intoday's churches, just what would your answer be? If you were to look into theBible you will find that the Old Testament saints surely proved that AlmightyGod was a God of power and supreme as he ever was. The word of God reveals in Hebrews 13:8 that JesusChrist is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.... The Bible also says inMalachi 3:6that he is Lord and he changes not... We are told in Romans 1:23 that man has changed the glory of the uncorruptable Godinto an image made like to corruptable man, and to birds, and fourfootedbeasts, and creeping things. The church world today is guilty of this verything but they will not admit to this fact because if they did then they wouldhave to begin to seek for God more diligently giving up their pleasures thatthey love more. The churches today do not manifest the power of God giving himthe glory due unto his name because of the fact that they are void of the truthas to what they must do in order for the glory of Almighty God to be in theirmidst. The Bible very plainly makes it clear that the scriptures are inspiredof God to instruct us in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect,throughly furnished unto all good works. The churches today are onlymanifesting the feeble works of man calling it the works of God. The Spirit ofGod is not being manifested in the church today and there is a very simplereason as to why it is not.
This reason is because they thought that all thatwas required to become a child of God and do the will of God was just to acceptChrist as Saviour and then begin to do what they thought was the will of Godfor their life. Many people today use a talent such as playing a musicalinstrument and singing gospel songs thinking that this is the will of God fortheir life. Most people do not honestly know what the will of God is for theirlife and the reason for this is because they have not been instructed inrighteousness as the Bible reveals that we must. Nearly every person thatclaims to be a christian today is led to believe that they must begin to be awitness for Christ by their going out and telling people that they are savedand that they can become a christian also etc. Not very many people understandwhat a true witness for Christ is. The power of Almighty God is not beingmanifested in today's churches because of the fact that they have not beentaught the truth of the gospel that will purge them of their sin and that sanctifiesthem making them meet for the master's use. Today's church converts are toldthat they become born again children of God by their confession and acceptanceof the Lord Jesus and that they must then begin to do what they can for thekingdom of God. Believing this will cause you to begin to do what you may thinkis the will of God for your life when all the time you are in the flesh doingwhat you can in your own power and efforts. The works of man is sickening inthe sight of Almighty God thinking it is the works of the Spirit. The works intoday's churches can be done without them even confessing to believe in God.Jesus plainly said that not all that say Lord, Lord, will enter into thekingdom of heaven. Only those who do the true revealed will of God will inheritthe kingdom of God. In order for you to do the true revealed will of God, youmust be instructed in righteousness first. This means that you must presentyour body unto God as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable unto him asstated in Romans 12:1-2. Presenting your body unto God in this manner means thatyour old carnal man of sin is dead and that Christ has become your life and itis Christ being manifested in and through your mortal flesh. We are told thatwithout Christ we can do absolutely nothing. (readJohn 15:5) This means thatunless Christ becomes your life then you won't be able to do nothing in therealm of the spiritual things of God. This is why the works are so feeble intoday's churches. Christ is not being manifested in them. All that the churchesare doing today is works that they can do within their own power and ability.Can you find a church that manifest the true gifts of the Spirit as stated in I Corinthians 12:4-11?The only group of people that claims to believe in the power of God and thatthey believe that they are manifesting God's power is the Pentecostal groupsthat teach the tongues evidence doctrine as the initial evidence of the baptismof the Holy Ghost. They are correct when they say that the nominal churches donot have the Spirit which is proven by their failure to produce the works ofGod. Just because a group believes in the power of God, this does not provethat they are manifesting the power of God among them. The Bible absolutelydoes not teach that the tongues are the initial evidence of the Holy Ghostbaptism but yet the Pentecostals say that it does. Jesus said that many willsay to him in the judgement that they did many wonderful works in his name suchas casting out devils, healing the sick, prophesying etc. Christ will say tothem that he never knew them but rather they were workers of iniquityinstead. Iniquity is refusing to receive the truth of the gospel and yetconfessing to be of God. The Pentecostals are fulfilling the prophesy of thosewho will think they did many wonderful works when all the time they were not.Our text tells us that the scriptures are to instruct us in righteousness untoperfection, but the truth of perfection is not believed in today's churches.The scriptures are inspired of God to make us into true sons and daughters ofGod filled with his Holy Spirit, but the common teaching today is that onebecomes a born again child of God when you accept Christ as Lord and Saviour.You will fail to do the will of God if you do not receive the truth of thegospel because the truth of the gospel will purge you of all your sins makingyou a new creation in Christ. The church today has rejected the truth thinkingthey are doing the will of God, but their works are only the works of the fleshwhich are an abomination in the sight of God. Listening to the programs on theradio that claim to be doing the works of God is down right pathetic. Theso-called christians today degrade the power of God with their penny-ennyprograms they are doing thinking it is God's doing.....
